Terms and conditions of sale
Preamble
CART'IN is a purchase facilitation service that enables Mauritius residents to order products from Amazon.fr and other partner marketplaces, handling payment in euros, international shipping, customs clearance, and delivery across Mauritius.
These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern all transactions carried out through the CART'IN platform (website, mobile app, browser extension). By using the service or placing an order, the Member expressly accepts these T&Cs.
CART'IN is operated by Manoova Ltd, registered in Mauritius. CART'IN is neither a subsidiary nor a representative of Amazon.com, Inc.
Article 1 — Purpose
These T&Cs define the rights and obligations of CART'IN and its Members in the context of the purchase facilitation service: product selection on Amazon and partner platforms, payment in euros, international shipping, customs clearance in Mauritius, and relay point delivery.
Article 2 — General Provisions
The T&Cs are available at all times at www.cart-in.mu/terms. CART'IN reserves the right to modify them; the applicable version is the one in force at the time of payment.
By placing an order, the Member acknowledges having read and accepted the T&Cs without reservation. Any action on the platform (registration, order, payment) constitutes contractual acceptance.

Article 3 — Terms of Use
Although products are selected on Amazon or partner platforms, all invoicing is done by CART'IN. By placing an order, you authorise CART'IN to:
- Forward your order and payment to Amazon or the partner seller
- Arrange international shipping to Mauritius
- Handle customs clearance on arrival
- Deliver your parcel to your chosen relay point
By clicking "PAY", you confirm that the transaction is carried out with CART'IN and not directly with Amazon or the third-party seller.
Prices are displayed in euros. Additional bank charges may apply depending on your card issuer.
Article 4 — Pricing
Prices are shown in euros on partner platforms. International shipping fees and estimated import duties applicable in Mauritius are added at checkout.
CART'IN may update its prices at any time, but products are billed at the rates in effect when the order is placed. Payments are held as a pre-order deposit until the order is confirmed with the partner platform. Tax-free sales are not offered.
Article 5 — Availability
Offers are valid while stocks last on partner platforms. If a product becomes unavailable after an order is placed, the Member will be notified and may request a refund within 30 working days. Bank transfer fees may apply for refunds to a bank account.
Article 6 — Order Process
An order becomes effective once the Member clicks "CONFIRM & PAY" and payment is received. It is then final and cannot be modified. Orders are archived for 3 years; the last 2 years are accessible under "My Orders".
CART'IN may cancel or refuse an order in cases of fraud, anomaly, non-payment, or inappropriate behaviour, and reserves the right to suspend or exclude the Member concerned.
Article 7 — Payment
Accepted methods: Bank card (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX) via secure SSL payment. CART'IN does not store any banking data.
Security: 3D Secure authentication may be required. Internal anti-fraud checks are applied. In case of suspicion, CART'IN may request supporting documents and cancel the order if they are not provided within the given deadline.
Article 8 — Delivery
Products are delivered exclusively within Mauritius, to the relay point selected at the time of ordering. The list of relay points is available from customer support.
Delivery dates are estimates. Real-time tracking is available. If delivery is delayed by more than 30 working days, the Member may request cancellation and a refund within 35 working days of the estimated delivery date.
Some relay points cannot handle very heavy or bulky parcels. CART'IN reserves the right to redirect delivery to the nearest suitable relay point.
Article 9 — Import Restrictions
Certain products are prohibited or require prior authorisation for import into Mauritius. CART'IN automatically blocks several categories of restricted items, but the Member remains responsible for verifying compliance with Mauritian regulations. Orders for prohibited items will be cancelled and refunded.
Article 10 — Order Cancellation
No cancellation is possible once an order has been registered. By placing an order, the Member accepts the characteristics, condition, and compliance of the chosen product as listed on the partner platform. CART'IN, as a facilitator, is not responsible for the Member's purchasing decisions.
Article 11 — Complaints
All complaints must be addressed to CART'IN customer support:
- Online form: support.cart-in.com
- Email: [email protected]
Return and warranty conditions are detailed in Articles 12 to 17.
Article 12 — Non-Conforming, Damaged or Incomplete Products
A non-conforming product does not match its description (specifications, colour, material…). A damaged product shows deterioration prior to receipt. An incomplete product is missing parts, accessories, or consumables listed in the product sheet or delivery note.
The Member has 14 days from receipt to report the issue via the website or app, with a detailed description and visual proof. The return must include all original components (packaging, accessories, manual) along with the invoice and return reference.
After validation and return, the refund covers the product price, shipping costs, and other fees paid. Return shipping to CART'IN's warehouse remains the Member's responsibility.
Article 13 — Satisfaction Guarantee
Members may exercise their right to a refund within 14 days of receipt, via a written and justified request. The item must be returned unused, complete, and in its original unopened packaging, in a condition fit for resale.
This right does not apply to opened hygiene products, personalised or custom items, perishables, or made-to-measure articles.
Article 14 — Limitation of Liability
CART'IN acts as a purchase facilitator. Its liability is limited to the amounts collected for the products concerned and does not cover indirect damages (loss of use, data loss, reputational harm, etc.).
Product images are for illustration purposes only. CART'IN is not responsible for non-compliance with import regulations in the delivery territory — it is the Member's responsibility to verify local import rules.
As an Amazon.fr affiliate partner, product images are sourced via the Amazon API in compliance with the affiliate programme guidelines.
Article 15 — Returns Policy
CART'IN endeavours to align with Amazon's return conditions, with adaptations due to Mauritius's geographic distance.
Deadline: 14 days from receipt for non-conforming, defective, or damaged items.
Non-eligible items: opened products (hygiene, software, audio/video), personalised items, perishables, newspapers, Amazon gift cards.
Return costs (at the Member's expense):
- Express shipping: €5 per kilogram to Amazon France
- Applicable customs duties and taxes
- Any packaging costs if required
Return procedure:
- Contact CART'IN support with a description and visual evidence
- Support confirms acceptance and provides estimated return costs
- Drop off complete items at CART'IN Mauritius warehouse and pay return fees
- Once validated by Amazon or the seller, refund issued by card credit or CART'IN gift voucher
CART'IN reserves the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions.
Article 16 — Refunds
Refunds are processed within 14 days of return acceptance by Amazon or the seller, at the Member's choice:
- Bank transfer (transfer fees may apply)
- Gift voucher valid on CART'IN Mauritius
CART'IN cannot be held responsible if a seller refuses to honour a warranty or refund request.
Article 17 — Commercial Warranties
Warranties depend on the seller and partner platform. After seller validation, CART'IN may organise the return of items under warranty; return costs remain the Member's responsibility.
Article 18 — Force Majeure
CART'IN's obligations are suspended in the event of force majeure (natural disaster, strike, health crisis, customs blockage, etc.). The Member will be informed as soon as possible.
Article 19 — Vouchers and Promo Codes
CART'IN promo codes are valid only on the CART'IN platform. They require a minimum order amount, cannot be refunded in cash, and cannot be combined on a single order. Fraudulent use will result in automatic order cancellation and may lead to account suspension.
Amazon or partner platform vouchers are not valid on CART'IN.
Article 20 — Intellectual Property
All elements of the CART'IN website (visuals, texts, trademarks, logos) are the exclusive property of the Company and protected by copyright. Any reproduction, even partial, is prohibited without prior written authorisation.
Article 21 — Applicable Law and Disputes
These T&Cs are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought first. Failing that, the competent court will be that of the registered office of CART'IN's operating company.
